Un plan ambicioso para una amenaza creciente
De este fondo, 10 millones serán destinados a proteger a los trabajadores más vulnerables frente a la automatización, mientras que los otros 20 millones se centrarán en mejorar las competencias digitales de desempleados y personas inactivas, buscando reducir los riesgos de exclusión laboral. Según Alessio Butti, subsecretario de Innovación Tecnológica, el éxito de la transición digital dependerá de involucrar y capacitar a las personas:
"No hay revolución digital sin personas."Sin embargo, el panorama no es alentador. Italia ocupa un rezagado puesto 18 entre los 27 países de la UE en competencias digitales básicas, con un alarmante 54% de su población entre 16 y 74 años sin habilidades esenciales en tecnología.

Un informe reciente identificó a matemáticos, analistas financieros, contables, diseñadores web e incluso ingenieros blockchain como los más amenazados por la inteligencia artificial generativa. Por otro lado, oficios como cocineros, agricultores y mecánicos parecen estar a salvo… al menos por ahora.

El retraso italiano en habilidades digitales no solo amenaza la empleabilidad, sino también el acceso equitativo a los servicios públicos y la participación en la economía digital. Este fenómeno, advierte el Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale, no es solo un problema técnico, sino un reflejo de un contexto más amplio de carencias cognitivas y educativas.
